Chalet Desgranges is named after Henri Desgranges, the founder of the Tour de France. It is located very centrally in the Forgeassoud Dessous area of St Jean de Sixt, a mere five minute walk to the nearest shops and amenities.
The Chalet Built in 2006 in traditional Savoyard style, the chalet is modern, bright, tranquil and furnished to a very high standard. The balconies,terrace and patio are all south-west facing, so enjoy extended hours of sunshine and are a real suntrap, so don't forget your sunblock!

The chalet overlooks alpine pastures, where cows graze in the summer months and up into the Aravis mountains, where the highest ski runs are visible.

Accommodation The chalet has sleeping accommodation for 10 people, comprising of :
- Two double bedrooms, with double beds.
- Two twin rooms with two single beds.
- One room with bunk beds, which are large enough to accommodate 2 adults - the bunk beds have good head clearance. And of course, equally suitable for children.
- 3 of the bedrooms open out onto the southwestern balcony and have a wonderful view down the valley.
The chalet offers ample bathroom facilities with two shower rooms (one with toilet), one family bathroom (with bath and shower) and one upstairs toilet.

Additionally, the chalet comprises a :
- Modern kitchen, fully equipped with hob, oven, dishwasher, microwave, fondu sets, crockery, pans and fridge/freezer.
- Washing machine and drying facilities.
- Homely living room with tv/SKY, DVD and a hi-fi system, and doors opening onto a terrace.
- Dining room with table seating upto 10 people comfortably.
- BBQ and outdoor furniture.
There is a room to store skis/boots, with garage space for one vehicle.
The driveway will accommodate three vehicles.
Bed linen and towels are supplied.
Change over day is normally on Saturday, but this may be negotiated. |


 | The management of the chalet is handled by an English speaking agency in nearby Thones, who will be on hand during your stay to check you in, explain how things work and generally be on hand should you have any queries.
