The Aravis region is a mecca for skiers and snowboarders. The main ski area, La Clusaz, is 2kms from St Jean de Sixt and offers a ride range of skiing to suit all abilities from beginners to advanced, with its 132km of slopes spread over 5 interlinked mountains including Beauregard, L’Aguille and La Balme.

An Aravis pass will enable you to also ski Le Grand Bornand and Chinaillon – adding a further 225kms of piste to your skiing enjoyment. A shuttle bus runs between the resorts, linking them in only 10 minutes.

Snowboaders are well catered for with specialist boarder facilities and there is a good mix of cross country ski trails in both La Clusaz and Le Grand Bornand. |

For the non skiers, don’t despair, other activities include : snowshoeing, husky sledding, snow biking and ice skating. An open air swimming pool is open in the winter for the daring amongst you.
